A Bevy of Bags!!

Standard

Three sizes includes: Breezy Bags and Petite Purse

Riley and my two older boys were gone this weekend on a scout trip. I used that time to sew sew sew! I finished three purses that had been in progress for some time and made one start-to-finish for Green Girl 1.

Petite Purse made for eldest dd.

I’m really excited about Green Girl’s bag because it is entirely my own design. I am amazed that I envisioned it then made it! That is a new experience for me. I’m encouraged to realize my skills have improved. I love that I used only materials I had on hand–no run to the store when I didn’t have enough bias tape.  I figured out how to make it work. Tori, you were right about sewing being about problem solving.

Here are some “interior shots” for those of you who might be curious. A friend complimented the inside of one of my bags, saying it was cute and didn’t have to be. I like to make the insides fun. Isn’t it nice to have a cheery lining in your purse to distract you from the fact that you cannot find that little bottle of hand sanitizer you are madly searching for because your toddler just touched whatever that was on the slide?

Don’t ask me how I know — six children –just sayin’ . . . ;-)

  1. Way to go, Wendy! Your purses are adorable! It takes some guts to set up a blog and you must manage your time MUCH better than I did when I homeschooled. :)

    • Thanks :-) I had a friend or two encouraging me to start one. I’m working on that time-management issue. It is a constant battle for me–or with me, myself, and I. KWIM?
